Our client had experienced a sudden and unexpected change in personnel, resulting in the loss of a critical skill set in the data and analytics space.

Business Challenge

Oakwood’s Data & Analytics Team was brought in to fill this temporary gap of executive and operational need for an experienced data architect / engineer and report writer to continue to drive some of the key data and analytics initiatives.

We were engaged with them for 6 months as a full time resource to meet these needs during their executive search.

Solution

The Oakwood Data and Analytics team delivered value to this important strategic client with the following solution:

  1. ETL and data ingestion management. Managed all of the ETL within the environment for various source and destination systems.
  2. SQL DBA and data management – Managed all of the SQL servers in the environment. Optimized and tuned queries, managed indexing, managed backup and restore and more.
  3. Report development – worked on a number of reports in the environment.

The organization derived immediate value from the enhanced efficiency and the ability to keep strategic initiatives on track. In the end, Oakwood was able to deliver on time and under budget.
